If a youth would like to ap­ply for our tran­si­tion pro­gram, please make sure that they meet the re­quire­ments list­ed be­low and can adapt to the con­di­tions de­scribed in the sec­tion “Tran­si­tion Pro­gram”.

Requirements for Entering our Transition Program

For a young man or woman to be tak­en into con­sid­er­a­tion for our tran­si­tion pro­gram he/she will have to meet the fol­low­ing re­quire­ments:

  • 18 years of age (no ex­cep­tions will be made)
  • Have a birth cer­tifi­cate
  • Com­plet­ed 9th grade if want­i­ng to study at a tech­ni­cal lev­el
  • Com­plet­ed high school if want­i­ng to study at the uni­ver­si­ty
  • School pa­pers from last at­tend­ed school year
  • Able to read and write
  • Clean record
  • If on med­ica­tion, able to han­dle the treat­ment on his/her own
  • Have a de­sire to live an in­de­pen­dent life

Please note that we do NOT take in youth that want to study at the high school lev­el!

 

Rules while in our program

We ex­pect all youth to abide by the fol­low­ing rules while in our pro­gram:

  • Be open and hon­est
  • Re­spect rules, staff, and oth­er youth in the pro­gram
  • Keep their room/apartment clean and tidy
  • They can at NO time in­vite peo­ple to vis­it their room/apartment
  • Boys are not al­lowed to en­ter girls’ rooms/apartments and vice ver­sa
  • They can not use or sell drugs (in­clud­ing glue)
  • They can not be in­volved in crime or gang ac­tiv­i­ties
  • They can not get preg­nant or get some­one preg­nant
  • They can not have pets of any kind

Break­ing these rules will lead to dis­missal!
